- Although most doctors only focus on the field of health, one doctor decided to extend his knowledge and also studied Marketing, Law and Systems Engineering degrees.
- In both cases, he points out that these are careers that have helped him to know how to manage his own clinic and to know how he can promote it.
- For all his studies, he can be considered the most prepared doctor in Mexico.
It is not a secret that Medicine is the longest career in the world. Although each university has its own curriculum, the basic training lasts between six and seven years. During this time, the general fundamentals of patient care should be learned. But although it is a very tired career, some people do not settle and continue their studies. With this in mind, we share with you the story of what could be the most prepared doctor in Mexico.
To begin with, at the end of the Medical Surgeon degree there are many alternatives that can be chosen. One of the highest aspirations is to be a specialist and that is why every year there are thousands of applicants in the National Examination of Applicants to Medical Residencies (ENARM).
Such was the case of Dr. Jose Manuel Diaz Campuzano, who is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He then did a medical residency at Traumatology and orthopedics at the ISSSTE and studied a high specialty in Joint Surgery and Arthroscopy. And as a second subspecialty, it carries out training in Pediatric Orthopedics at the Tacubaya Pediatric Hospital.
Studies within other areas
When he turned 32, he decided continue with their studies but now in fields other than Medicine. For this reason, he first studied Systems engineering at the UVM and in parallel the Marketing degree in the same institution.
Then he studied a Master in Digital Marketing and right now he is in the final semesters of Law degree at the Latin American University and is also about to conclude a Master in Information Technology Management at Tec de Monterrey and another at Business and Labor Law at UVM.
Therefore, it can be considered the most prepared doctor in Mexico. But as the doctor mentions in a video that he uploaded to his social networks, what led him to choose this path was not petulance or presumption. In his words, all the careers he studied are related to Medicine.

Why is it worth studying so much?
In his case, from a young age he was clear that he wanted start and open your own clinic. Although he succeeded, in doing so he detected that it was not enough to have knowledge in diseases and health, but that other areas were needed to be able to manage a business.
From the side of spreading the clinic in traditional and digital media until knowing how it could be defended in legal matters were his motivations to extend his studies.
Similarly, the Dr. Diaz Campuzano mention something that everyone should consider. At the end of a university degree, you can take master’s degrees of any kind and regardless of whether they are from your area.
At the end of the day, one of the barriers is time, but if you manage it correctly, it is possible to study and work at the same time. It takes many sacrifices but everything is possible.
