At E3 2017 Nintendo came out with all the heavy artillery in the first year of Nintendo Switch, announcing game after game that we would see on the hybrid console. And just under this premise, and without anyone expecting it, Metroid Prime 4 teaser was shownof which we could only see the logo.
It must be said that the title was most likely in pre-production at that time, hence nothing was shown, detailing later that Metroid Prime 4 would be being developed by a young and talented team. What happened next we all know.
Metroid Prime 4 passed into the hands of Retro Studios after the reboot it suffered in 2019
And it is that, unfortunately, without even revealing the identity of this team (although it is suspected that it was a division of Bandai Namco in Singapore), the project was not reaching the quality quotas that Nintendo requiredwhich led the Japanese company to make the tough decision to restart the project from 0 and give it to Retro Studioscreators of the original trilogy.
All this happened in January 2019, three years having passed since then in which Nothing has been taught of Metroid Prime 4 beyond a job offer. However, last night Retro Studios made a move in social networks, since they changed the banner of their Twitter account. However, what is interesting here is the content:

As you can see, now Samus Aran is the protagonist in the Twitter account of the American studio, counting in turn with the color patterns shown in the Metroid Prime 4 logo, that is, black and blue. And it was as a result of this image that the madness has been unleashed on social networks, since many have taken it as a statement of intent for the studio ahead of the next installment, which could finally be shown to the public this year.
In fact, we may even get our fill of Metroid Prime this yearalthough not necessarily with the 4th installment, which is speculated to arrive in 2023, but in the form of the remaster of the first Metroid Prime that would arrive this year in commemoration of the twentieth anniversary since its original release.
However, it must be said that at the moment all this is speculative, although it is clear that every day we are closer to the launch of Metroid Prime 4which will bring back the bounty hunter in a 3D environment.
