When will the world end? It is the question that alarms scientists around the planet. As will be? It is the other question that they try to answer with the intention of creating an action plan that manages to stop the horrible destiny.
An asteroid of those that transits through the Solar System, hitting the Earth, is a possibility. It already happened to the dinosaurs, according to theories, 66 million years ago.
A war with nuclear weapons could also extinguish us as humanity. While the slowest path, and the one that anyone would prefer, is the final consumption of our massive star, which would give us billions of years of life, if we know how to preserve the Earth’s natural resources.
With all these elements present, a team of scientists from Harvard carried out an analysis in which they managed to calculate when and what the end of the world will be like.
The investigation is from 1960 and, according to the exposed data, there is an exact date and time for the end. Iconic experts such as physicist Heinz von Foerster, Patricia M. Mora and Lawrence Amiot of the Argonne National Laboratory participated in the research.
According to their equations, the end of the world will happen on November 13, 2026, due to the accelerated population increase.
“Our great-great-grandchildren will not starve, but they will be squeezed to death. On this date the human population will approach infinity if it grows as it has grown in the last two millennia,” said the aforementioned experts, in their report from the 1960s.
It is based on population growth and the advancement of technology, which at that time was nothing compared to today.
