The Apex Legends gaming community can see the Hammerpoint Rounds jump reborn. Since it was removed in Season 9, the community has called on Respawn Entertainment to bring the Hammerpoint Rounds jump back into the game, and it seems players have been heard.
Something we find quite curious is that this seemed unlikely at first as the developers opted to upgrade weapons that use the attachment instead of keeping Hammerpoints in loot. However, it seems they’ve changed their minds, as the fan-favorite jump is making a return in Season 12, and this time, it’s even available to use on the RE-45.
Hammerpoint Rounds is finally returning to Apex Legends
As the developers confirmed in a recent panel ahead of Season 12, Hammerpoint Rounds will return in Defiance and will now be available to use on the RE-45. This has the potential to make the underutilized machine pistol incredibly popular in Season 12, especially as a secondary for taking down unarmored targets.
Of course, the beloved accessory can also be used with the Mozambique and P2020, so don’t be afraid to hold one of these weapons for a little longer than usual in Defiance. While the news of the return of Hammerpoints has gotten the Apex community excited, it will be interesting to see if the positivity holds up throughout Defiance.
One of the reasons the jump was removed in Season 9 was due to complaints of players dying instantly without shields. This is unlikely to have changed unless the developers slightly adjusted the power of the jump.
