Split-screen local co-op gameplay has been a staple of the Halo series since its launch in 2001. Despite the lack of this mode in Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries had previously stated that they would add this long-awaited feature later in the year. halo-infinite. Sadly, a recent update indicates that this feature will never make it to the game. Nevertheless, Halo Infinite’s campaign can be played in split screen thanks to a curious glitch discovered by a fan.
The workaround was initially discovered by @Zeny_IC on Twitter, which involved exploiting a flaw in the menu and some specific selections. The hack would essentially allow players to enable split-screen play for local co-op just like previous Halo titles.. Split-screen co-op campaign mode was then accessed on an Xbox One thanks to @KatsuyaTheFuuk.

The player’s match showed some minor bugs, such as low resolution texture issues and different times of day for each player. While it doesn’t seem like the game is unplayable this way, it remains to be seen if these sorts of issues become more noticeable when more players are added to split-screen co-op.
