A player has managed to enable split screen play despite the fact that this feature is absent from the Halo Infinite beta. By enrolling in the Xbox Insiders program, any Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One player can participate in Halo Infinite’s Third Multiplayer Skills Test October 1-3; PC gamers can continue to participate through the Halo Insider program, as before.
The first look at 343 Industries’ in-development title now includes Big Team Battle which gives players access to a plethora of Halo Infinite weaponry, as well as allowing them to drive iconic Halo vehicles like the Warthog and Ghost. However, players have noted that the Halo Infinite beta lacks key features such as friendly fire and player collision, but these omissions are they would correct in the final release of the game.

Although the Halo Infinite beta still lacks the traditional split-screen game, someone has managed to make it work. Apparently, Reddit user freebeens was able to play the game in split screen, but only while offline and playing a console version of the title. Navigating through a long series of accessibility options allowed freebeens to achieve this, and doing so allows two players to join a game through the same screen.

Split-screen multiplayer has been a staple of the Halo franchise from the beginning, so the apparent absence of the feature in the Halo Infinite beta was disheartening for some. However, the discovery of splitscreen by the Redditor freebeens should give hope that this feature has not been cut or delayed like the Forge and the cooperative campaign.
