At the beginning of this month we told you that the famous battle royale, Fortnite, began to celebrate its Halloween event “Nightmare before the tempest”. An event with which they promised to add more content as the date approaches and, as always, it has not disappointed their fans. We learned that Rick Grimes along with two other characters from The walking dead they came to the game and you could get different cosmetics.
However now Epic games wanted to announce a new event related to its Halloween event for Fortnite. This event is about a PvE tournament where players will have to face AI-controlled zombies and, for the first time, they will not face human players. This tournament begins on October 23 at 7:00 a.m. peninsular time and ends October 24th at 7:00 p.m. peninsular time.
What you need to know for the tournament
To be able to participate in this Fortnite PvE tournament is to have a full team of four players, which will be played in the MTL (limited time mode) of “Stampede of the Horde”. Also, the format consists in that they throw you to a random place on the map and send you avalanches of aggressive enemies towards your location. After several rounds, the circle of the storm begins to move around the map and to close, which you will have to be careful not to end up eliminated.
The idea is to play until 5 Stampede of the Horde games and accumulate as many points as possible, eliminating monsters from the cube while they attack you in different waves. In the event that your team is eliminated very soon, nothing happens, since you can form another team with different teammates and keep trying without receiving no penalty. However, those players who qualify will win the prize, so there will be no duplicate rewards.
Tournament rewards and prizes
The rewards and prizes in the Nightmare Before the Tempest tournament are related to the points obtained In your 5 games of Horde Stampede:
- Feel My Wrath Loading Screen: 500 points.
- Angry Graffiti: 1000 points.
- Grotesque GG Emote: 2000 points.
It is important to know that each 1000 points will be 1 tournament point. The score that is accumulated from these five games will be the one that determines the global scoreboard and, in this way, know your position and that of your teammates.
As in other tournaments, players have to meet different requirements. It is important that you consult the tournament rules on the official Epic Games website. Likewise, our colleagues from 3DGames Guides They have created different Fortnite guides that can help you during Season 8.
