There is a cybersecurity tournament in China and in this they hacked the iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.
Hackers have been summoned in a competition to demonstrate their skills and knowledge. As a result, the iPhone and iOS have been hacked in a matter of seconds.
The Tianfu Cup
Last weekend the fourth annual cup called Tianfu and it was held in Chengdu, China.
This competition is deliberately legal and is summoned by the Chinese state which offers large sums of money so that cybersecurity researchers from that region do not compete internationally.
In addition, the results of this cup are intended to serve as materials for Chinese espionage and surveillance. This, before releasing reports that allow companies to offer patches that cover vulnerabilities. At least, that has been commented on in a post made by ThreatPost.
iPhone 13 Pro and iOs 15 hacked
A former director of Qihoo 360 with his team called Kunlun Lab, Who they were the first to breach security of the newly released iPhone 13 Pro with the latest version of iOS 15.0.2.
The feat was performed live and took a while 15 seconds to finish the process in which a remote execution exploit was used through the security code of the mobile browser, Safari.
But this team was not the only one to circumvent Apple’s security, because Pangu’s group which is already known worldwide for its track record of introducing Jailbreak tools managed to win the top prize of $ 300,000 in cash for jailbreaking the new iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 15.
Besides the iPhone and iOS, hackers demonstrated vulnerabilities on devices with Android, Windows 10 and tools like Microsoft Exchange and Google Chrome.
For the moment the magazine Forbes who presented the note, mentions having announced the situation to Apple, while the next release of iOS 15. is expected to fix some of these vulnerabilities that have consequences unknown until today.
