THE TRUTH BEHIND THE END OF THE “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY” FRANCHISE
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3″ will be the last movie for Star Lord and the rest of the fun group of superheroes from him. Previously, James Gunn had confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that it would only be a trilogy, and even this third film almost didn’t get made.
This was also backed up by Chis Pratt: “You immediately feel swept away, not only by the thought that this is the end of the trilogy for all of us, but also remembering the journey the characters are on.”.
Although the reasons have not been clear, it may be due to two reasons. The first is the departure of a large part of the actors, who have been playing the characters since the first film was released in 2014 and must be looking for new horizons.
The second reason is that Marvel is trying to revamp the universe by exploring new stories and figures from the comics, which we’ve been seeing in the series and movies of the new phases leading up to “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers : Secret Wars.
WE COULD SEE THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY AGAIN
Even if no more movies are made with the original “Guardians of the Galaxy” group, we may still see some of the members who are still alive in other movies and series to come and, especially, in the culmination of the phases with the “Avengers” tapes.
There’s also the possibility that they eventually decide to retell the “Guardians of the Galaxy” story, but this time with a new group to replace them, much like Chris Evans’ Captain America was replaced by Anthony Mackie, and Black Widow, by his younger sister Yelena Belova.
