GTA VI could announce its release date sooner than expected.
After knowing in the last hours that Rockstar would have canceled the remasters of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption on which it had been working for some time due to the poor reception of the remaster of GTA The Trilogy, the latest rumors now point again towards the GTA VI release date. The new installment of the series could bequeath sooner than expected.
At least on paper, since according to the same insider who revealed yesterday about the remasters of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar would have the GTA VI release window set between late 2023 and early 2024. Until now, only 2024 was being considered, even with the possibility of going to 2025. Could be announced for 2023 and be delayed to early 2024, he explains (via comic book).
It would not be the first time that a Rockstar game has been delayed, Red ded Redemption 2 came to have a date for 2017, although it finally arrived in 2018. Setting dates knowing many times that it will not be fulfilled is about a purely marketing issue. GTA VI will arrive when Rockstar considers that it is finished and optimized as it should be. According to the latest leaks, the development would be somewhat “turbulent”.
More news from Rockstar
It has been rumored for some time now that Rockstar is working on a new expansion for GTA Online that would take players to Liberty City, city where GTA IV takes place, but after knowing the cancellation of the remaster of this fourth installment of the series, it is unknown if the company’s plans continue with this content. It has not yet been officially announced, so we will have to wait to receive news from Rockstar.
