Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released in 2015 and has seen multiple reissues since then. In the years since its release in 2013, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been ported to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, without grand theft auto 6 was in sight.
However, Rockstar Games has finally announced grand theft auto 6 officially, and while details remain scarce, a recent report from Bloomberg has shed more light on what fans can expect from the game.
The report has revealed many details about Grand Theft Auto 6 and what the new game will entail. One of the more interesting details revealed has to do with Rockstar’s plans for Grand Theft Auto 6 after launch. Assuming the information is accurate, It seems that Rockstar Games will expand GTA 6 after its launch with new cities “on a regular basis”.
Grand Theft Auto games have never added new cities after launch, so this would be huge. It would also go a long way towards increasing the longevity and staying power of grand theft auto 6so fans could have an even longer wait for Grand Theft Auto 7.
But although Rockstar Games will add more cities and missions to grand theft auto 6 after launch, the Bloomberg report also refers to the city that will be available in the base game. It has long been rumored that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be set in Vice City, and the report backs up those claims, though it does refer to it as a “fictional version of Miami” rather than outright stating that the next setting is Vice City.
If Grand Theft Auto 6 release date is in 2024, as planned, fans will only have to wait a couple more years to finally get their hands on the game. However, it is always possible that things could change during development and push back the GTA 6 release date.
