Fraikin BM Granollers yearns to find their best version as quickly as possible and this Sunday (12:00) they have a new opportunity against BM Benidorm, who arrive as one of the most fit teams in the domestic competition after having added six wins in their last seven games.
The team from Alicante is one of the worst rivals for a Granollers with very fair strength and with some of its most decisive men lacking rhythm, as is the case with the full-backs Chema Marquez Y Anthony Garcia.
To this is added that Benidorm already knows what it is to win the Vallesan team this season in the first round (28-27).
Both teams are in very opposite dynamics. Fraikin comes from losing on Wednesday in the first leg of the third round of the Copa del Rey against Sinfín (24-23) and Benidorm is in the best moment of the entire season.
This was admitted by the coach of the Vallesan team, Antony Branch: “Benidorm is a team that is in full growth. They had a very hesitant start, but it is a team full of very good players.”
Branch He added that the Valencian team “has an uncomfortable game” for Granollers and praised pivot Iker Serrano, a player “complicated to defend.
“Their defense is very individualized, it is difficult for us to attack this type of defensive structures,” he analyzed.
The last confrontations between both teams reflect the equality, since they have achieved three victories each. Last season Granollers won by the minimum (26-25), although Fernando Latorre’s men already won at the Palau d’Esports two seasons ago (25-29).
Granollers, fourth in the table but with two games less than the second, cannot afford another setback if they want to stay in contention for second place.
