Gotham Knights’ release date was welcome news for fans who are excited about another game set in the DC universe. Gotham Knights is its own IP with a fresh story, and its emphasis on Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood as its playable protagonists further separates it from existing franchises.
Today’s preview from WB Games Montreal has shown gameplay for its two remaining protagonists, Nightwing and Red Hood, and has detailed a lot of information about its characteristics as an action RPG. But as another point of interest, Gotham Knights has also announced that pre-orders are now available, as well as what each edition includes.

A recent Taiwanese listing suggested that Gotham Knights would skip its next-gen editions, despite the game’s marketing claiming otherwise.
This had not been confirmed until now, and it is official after today’s announcement of the pre-order that Gotham Knights will be available exclusively on new generation consoles, as PS4 and Xbox One editions no longer an option.
This can be annoying for fans who haven’t been able to get their hands on a next-gen console. However, the final product is likely to be in the best possible shape when Gotham Knights hits its new release date, and will hopefully look and play better on next-gen consoles exclusively.
