It is unknown how much more will be shown of Gotham Knights ahead of its launch in October. Sure, at this point there are fans who still need to see more, but there are likely plenty of surprises in store that might be best kept under wraps until fans get their hands on Gotham Knights.
For example, fans who don’t want boss fight spoilers should stay away from the latest Gotham Knights reveal. Yesterday it was learned that Gotham Knights would soon have a gameplay of the fight against the boss, Harley Quinn.
That gameplay has now arrived, showcasing what game director Geoff Ellenor calls his “arc end boss fight,” suggesting that this may be one of the last encounters players have with their character before they , presumably, be locked up by the GCPD.
IGN recently aired this gameplay, which is about seven minutes long. The combat is introduced via a cutscene that previews what has been Harley’s villain arc thus far, as Nightwing has chased her to Gotham Hospital. minions of harleywho may or may not compose their own faction gang in Gotham Knightsare seemingly innocent Gotham citizens who are mind-controlled by a handheld device that Harley carries with her.
Players will likely battle these citizens numerous times throughout Harley’s story. The character played in this gameplay demo is Nightwingand as such it’s interesting to see how gymnastic and agile Harley is compared to him.
Harley flips, flips, and somersaults in the air with as much grace and fluidity as Nightwing, all while brandishing a mallet that has a red icon instead of the common white icon that informs players when to dodge.
