Images on social networks showed elements of the National Guard outside the technology offices, located at Montes Urales 445, Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood, while workers evacuated the property.
For his part, The CDMX Citizen Security Secretariat reported that they went to the Google Mexico offices after a report to the emergency number 911 warning of a suspected explosive device.
The agency said that the uniformed specialists in explosive detection met with the building security manager, who told them that they had not received any kind of call or threat that would put the integrity of the property’s assets at risk.
“However, in accordance with the police action protocol, specialized personnel carried out a thorough search in the vicinity and inside the building without locating any object that represented a danger to the population,” he added.
