We have a few calendars that fulfill the essential task of marking reminders, having an intuitive interface and receiving updates from time to time that put it on par with the others. Nor is it that we have dozens of them but the truth is that we cannot complain much since there are several quite interesting alternatives such as Sunrise until Microsoft acquired it to include part of its features in future updates. Today, for a person well busy in the day, it is almost essential to have everything organized so that he does not miss any of those tasks that lie ahead in the day.
They also serve to remind us of the parties we have in our town and country so that we do not schedule important events for those days. Google Calendar is one of those calendars that have almost everything and that among its faculties is good support to a great variety of countries and their national holidays, although from today this figure will increase to 143 when including 54 new ones in the new update. Apart from this novelty, Google Calendar gets smarter. It is not that they have integrated a whole brain to think for himself as they did with the fictional character Frankenstein, but that he will make suggestions as we complete a new event that we are creating.
A «Smart» Google Calendar
Google Calendar suggestions is the most useful novelty since it implies that when you are typing a name when an event is added, different suggestions will appear that we can mark to define the event itself. This means that from the text field itself we can create the event without having to go to another space in the application.
To make it work like a charm, “smart operators” have been included in 30 languages such as in (localization), with (invited participants) and for (uninvited participants). It should be mentioned that we remain in our language without the operator for day, time and duration, although it can be assumed that we will soon see it functional so that Google Calendar is more intelligent or smart.
So we will have in, with and for as the operators that will raise suggestions according to the event that we are creating and that will make things much easier when we launch one since we will only use that text field to create it completely without having to go to others fields or functions.
Improving interactivity
We know that Googe is always looking for new ways to interact with the services it has, and more from Google Now that opens the way for us to create events with our own voice and that “Ok, Google.” Google Calendar joins that party a bit for those who, instead of using voice commands, prefer to use the keys on their keyboard to create events or reminders, so being able to do it from the same place is a great advantage.
Apart from all those new languages that have been supported to publish national holidays on the calendar, the delete option has been added in the pop-up menu to make it more accessible. Another improvement is improved support for languages that are read from right to left.
This update greatly improves the creation of an event for those who have quick fingers and use the text field through their favorite keyboard to organize their day, week or month. A great advantage without any doubt and that adds greater quality to a calendar app that meets all the basics to keep our lives organized.
You can download the update from the Play Store, although we also share the APK so that you can install it right away and do not have to wait for the update to reach the virtual Android app and video game store.
