It seems that this hero could face Goku himself with his maximum power…
doCan you imagine what Goku’s kamehameha would look like in the Marvel universe?? This epic new piece of fanart from artist Matty Z transforms the X-Men’s fierce mutant Sunfire as a character from the Dragon Ball universe, showing the hero using Goku’s classic energy attack. And, in fact, this version makes more sense than any other option would.
Sunfire has the powerful ability to harness solar radiation and use it to generate superheated plasma, as well as flight, and has used his vast powers to take down major enemies, often operating alone but also working surprisingly well in a team, regardless of their strength. at- times aloof personality. The beautiful piece of fanart seen below was illustrated by Matty Z and shows Sunfire performing the well-known Kamehameha attack from Dragon Ball Z..

Sunfire’s Kamehameha! Loved the redesigns by @PepeLarraz Had to draw it pic.twitter.com/kQv8SIJfwX— MattyZ (@MattySzee) August 23, 2022
Matty drew Sunfire in his gorgeous X-Men redesign, created by talented artists Pepe Larraz, and perfectly recast the powerful mutant as a member of Goku’s Super Saiyan race. In Dragon Ball, the Kamehameha, named after the first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii, is the first energy move seen in the manga and is a signature move of the main character Goku. The message with which he shares this fanart is full of emotion:Sunfire’s Kamehameha! I loved @PepeLarraz’s redesigns I had to draw him.
There are dozens of variations on the original Kamehameha technique, and while the energy used in the powerful blast is often depicted as a blue and white color, Goku’s normal Kamehameha has been depicted as yellow in the Dragon Ball Z anime and was shown his Kamehameha 10x. with a red glow. Thus, Matty Z’s description of Sunfire using the Kamehameha is in line with previous depictions of the move shown in the DBZ anime.which makes it incredibly easy to imagine Shiro entering the universe created by Akira Toriyama.
Dragon Ball Z’s mighty kamehameha inspired this Marvel hero
Sunfire was first introduced in 1970’s X-Men #64 by Roy Thomas and Don Heck as a proud Japanese mutant dedicated to protecting his people and country. However, he is perhaps best known for having been recruited by Charles Xavier in 1975’s Giant-Size X-Men #1 by Len Weis and Dave Cockrum in an attempt to save the X-Men, but Sunfire fiercely refused the request. Xavier’s help. Since then, Shiro Yoshida has been both an enemy and an ally of the X-Men, recently joining the mutants of Krakoa. and became an official member of Cyclops’ first Krakoan X-Men team.
Of all the possible X-Men to be shown using the Kamehameha, Shiro Yoshida makes the most sense, since his mutant ability is to generate powerful energy-based attacks, and also because Sunfire was originally a superhero for the country of Japan. Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga series that first debuted in 1986, written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It is widely regarded as one of the best-selling and most influential manga of all time, with its beloved anime helping to popularize the medium in the United States, so showing Shiro as a member of the DBZ universe feels good.
In 2011, a number of Marvel Anime television shows were released, including the X-Men: Animated Series animeAnd if Marvel ever decides to bring back the X-Men anime, Sunfire would be the absolutely perfect addition to the cast, especially if she could use her strong powers in a similar way to Goku from Dragon Ball. Matty Z’s stunning portrayal of the iconic X-Men mutant Sunfire using Goku’s signature finishing move, Kamehameha, ends up being not only a beautiful reimagining of Shiro Yoshida’s immense power, but also a beautiful homage to Dragon Ball’s enduring legacy. Honestly, a very well received tribute in the world of manga and comics.
