Although there is still little more than a month to go before the premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero In the cinemas of our region, we already know that Gohan has reached a new transformation, which will well mark the future of this character. Nevertheless, the design we saw in the final work could well have been quite different.
In a recent interview, Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, revealed that the design of Gohan’s “bestial” form was originally quite different, since our protagonist was going to have a more angry face. This was what was said about it:
“Gohan had quite a few transformations in the past, but this time he needed to awaken a new one. Gohan has achieved his own unique evolution based on the kind of awakenings he had when he was a child. I’ve even called this transformation Son Gohan’s Beast, meaning that the inner wild beast has awakened. For the design, I tried to draw him with a scary face and skin spot, but somehow, this didn’t feel like Gohan.”
For those who haven’t seen the spoilers, we’re not going to describe the design of the new transformation, but let’s just say that it doesn’t break new ground in this section. For the meantime, we will have to wait until next month to see this tape and, if you are one of the lucky ones who have seen some image before time, the wait surely becomes more and more heavy.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will arrive in Mexico on August 18, 2022. On related issues, Toei Animation will sue anyone who sees this pirated movie. Similarly, will Luisito Comunica be the voice of Gohan?
Editor’s Note:
Although I already saw several spoilers, I still want to see the Dragon Ball movie. The idea of seeing Gohan and Piccolo again, two characters who have seen a lot of action in a long time, is strong enough to draw me to the theater, or the closest Crunchyroll screen possible.
