In October, the main automobile event in the country returns, the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix (Mexico GP), and for the first time in its history, a piñata contest will be part of F1ESTA, as the Formula 1 race is also known.
The Mexico GP is a valid race for the Formula 1 World Championship and every year, since 2015, it has been held at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome. It should be noted that this event was first held in 1962 (invalid); then from 1963 to 1970; later from 1986 to 1992; and from 2015 to date.
The piñata contest of the Mexican Grand Prix 2023
All fans of the Mexico GP are invited to participate in the unique contest Let’s break it better known as “piñatas racing”, which seeks to combine the passion, emotion and fun of Formula 1 with the traditional Mexican piñata.
According to the statement published by the Mexico GP on its website, the piñatas can represent “the idols of the past or current ones, the cars, the teams or symbols linked to the history of motorsports.”
Likewise, the five winning piñatas will be exhibited on the F1ESTA weekend, from October 27 to 29 of this year, at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome, and the creators of the winning piñatas will receive double access to the event as a prize.
Bases of participation:
- Anyone can participate regardless of their experience or age to make piñatas.
- Participation will be free of charge.
- The piñata must be inspired by Formula 1 or the Mexican Grand Prix.
- Only residents of the Mexican Republic may compete.
- The call will be open from Wednesday May 31 to Friday September 22, 2023.
