The celebration of the Day of the Dead will have a large number of activities in the Mexico City. Among them is the already traditional Day of the Dead Night Walkwhich is performed by cyclists dressed as skulls.
According to what was reported by the Ministry of Mobility (Semovi), this year the route will be 20 kilometers long, which will include spaces such as Paseo de la Reforma, Chapultepec and the Historic Center. In addition to bicycles, skates and skateboards can also be used.
Semovi made an attentive invitation to attendees dressed as catrines or catrinas, with the aim of reaffirming the Mexican tradition.
The scheduled date for the Day of the Dead Night Walk is next Saturday October 29th. In a time of 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.. The event is free and does not require prior registration.
It should be noted that the night walks are not only carried out for the Day of the Dead season, last February there was a version inspired by the Day of Love and Friendship, the attendance was 113 thousand 62 people.
Although Mexico City is at minimum levels of infections and hospitalizations for COVID-19, an attentive call was made to attend wearing a face mask and to bring antibacterial gel.
