From HUMAN Protocol they affirmed that the year 2022 was a period of collaboration construction. They did so through a statement to which Cointelegraph en Español had access.
Among other things, they recounted the following: “In terms of execution, the Protocol is fulfilling a large amount of work: between October and December 2022, workers solved 250 million tasks through the HUMAN application. Meanwhile, new use cases and integrations are constantly being developed through the Impact Projects and Grants Program.”
They then added: “Development-wise, HMT is already available on multiple chains, and the Maintainer Program ensures a decentralized approach to managing integrations and updates across many different networks.”
The year 2022 has also been a milestone for the decentralization of the network. The Routing Protocol not only represents a decentralization plan, but the Foundation has delegated decision-making power to the community through votes on Discord.
Resume
- Between October and December 2022, workers solved 250 million tasks through the HUMAN app.
- Grant Program: Nine grants awarded.
- Impact Projects: launched, working with multiple projects
- Maintainer Program: Active maintainers on Skale, Moonbeam, BSC, and Polygon; with Elrond, Neon, Celo, and OKX Chain to come.
- GitHub monorepo: Consolidating the code base to make it easier to build with the HUMAN Protocol.
- The HUMAN App and CVAT integration is now in beta testing to allow HUMAN App users to complete a greater variety of job types using dedicated CVAT servers.
- Community-approved routing protocol proposal: a new layer to facilitate network operation and decentralization.
- First Community Governance Vote: Wormhole’s proposal to create a routing protocol and convert it to xChain is approved.
- HMT listed on Probit and LBank
- HMT on Multichain, Polygon, Moonbeam and BSC.
- Proof of HUMANity solutions are ready: Ledger solution, Worldcoin solution, Social Proof of HUMANity and Biometric.
- The Utility of the HUMAN Protocol Extends Beyond Machine Learning to DeFi
network expansion
The original vision of creating an open source data annotation system has been expanded with multiple grants and the launch of the HUMAN Impact Projects. Meanwhile, the grant program has showcased a wide variety of use cases that go well beyond machine learning.
grants
- Verita Trust: creation of a decentralized customer review service. The grant consists of integrating the HUMAN Job Launcher, which will allow customers to solicit opinions and earn HMT for their comments.
- Hummingbot – A software used to build market making and arbitrage bots. The grant has funded “Humming Human”, which will create an off-chain Recording Oracle layer, using Chainlink, which can facilitate the creation of decentralized reward pools for liquidity providers to participating platforms.
- HELIX Blockchain: A Web3 Identity Platform. The grant will help develop an application with its native blockchain identity software, Helix ID. This may offer a solution for assigning reputations to workers.
- Ramblist – A decentralized newsroom that will use the grant to fund the integration of the Job Launcher API into the platform to support their news requests.
- DataUnion: designed to decentralize and democratize the data industry. DataUnion will use the grant to create a record and reputation oracle system.
- Audino – Also an impact project, this is an audio tagging service currently focused on building a chatbot that can successfully translate between many Indian languages. Support the efforts of the Indian Government’s National Health Mission. The grant will help bring audio tagging tasks into the HUMAN app and build a usable data set.
- Me Protocol – The first decentralized multi-vendor loyalty ecosystem, the grant will help them integrate the HUMAN Job Launcher into their reward creation system. The grant also indicates that they will integrate HUMAN Protocol into their ecosystem, allowing HUMAN Protocol to create rewards and have the (HMT) rewards exchanged for other loyalty rewards within their marketplace.
- Signa X – 3D asset creation platform for the metaverse and gaming world. They will use the HUMAN Job Launcher to help game developers design challenges and offer payouts using the Recording and Reputation Oracles. They also plan to integrate Proof of HUMANity into the registration process.
- What’s Cookin’: Thanks to this grant, worker credentials will be accessible in existing sources, such as Github, through an API endpoint. What’s Cookin’ will also take care of signing this data as NFT in decentralized storage solutions.
impact projects
The original application of the HUMAN Protocol was to democratize access to data annotation services. HUMAN Impact Projects are an extension of this application. Through Impact Projects, the Foundation collaborates with scientific research institutes and data annotation tools for research to enable them to scale up and monetize their work.
- Salk Institute for Biological Studies – Home to an award-winning team of scientists, the Salk Institute is renowned for its research into diseases and cures.
- Social LEAP Estimates Animal Poses (SLEAP): SLEAP is a tool within Salk. We are working with the team to allow them access to Workers who can use their Animal and Plant Poses Tracking data annotation tool to create new data sets.
- CVAT – A semi-automated annotation tool for video and image annotation. CVAT jobs are now available through the HUMAN app.
- Audino: Audino is an open source audio tagging tool. Work is underway to add audio tagging tasks to the HUMAN app to create data sets that can feed a translation service to help the Indian National Health Service.
