What a thrill! Begins to recognize other familiar faces besides moms.
Your child no longer resembles that baby who spent the day sleeping. Now he is smarter and stays awake much more during the day (he only sleeps about 14 hours, especially at night). Everything catches his attention and he moves his head from side to side as if he doesn’t want to miss anything that happens around him. You are in a very special moment of learning in which you want to “absorb” what you perceive. Therefore, it is important to stimulate it, play with it and satisfy that desire to learn. Life for the four-month-old child begins to be very interesting.
Matures day by day
And what is it that strikes you the most? The eyes. In fact, if someone approaches you, they will hold your gaze. Try sitting on the floor with your back against the wall and your legs bent. Place the little one on your thighs and watch him carefully. Start swinging your legs gently from side to side and dedicate loving words to her. You will see how he looks at you concentrated and holds your gaze for a long time.
Setting challenges for him to gradually overcome them begins to be essential for his development and to overcome his frustrations. Although he is still very small, you can already see how he gets angry when he does not get his way: he cries if you take the rattle from him or if he is not able to take an object in front of him.
This is the fruit of its growth, it is a good sign: it means that it is maturing. At this age, he already shows signs of his personality, what he likes or doesn’t like. Some toys he loves, some don’t even look at them.
Another sign of his development: he is already beginning to remember things. If you teach him how to move a piece of a toy, the next time he has it in his hands, he will try to move it by himself. What’s more, now she’s so excited about sounds, she really enjoys hitting a hanging object with her hands and discovering how it sounds. Music toys are good entertainment.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR BABY THIS MONTH:
? It supports the weight of your head if you put it straight and sits when you pull it. Some may turn on their stomach and roll onto their back without assistance
? When he is calm, he opens his little hands and plays with them. He tries to pick up the objects that are taught to him and can even hold a rattle for a moment
? It is oriented towards voice and sounds. Gurgling or yelling to get adult attention
? Recognizes if the shot is being prepared and is able to wait a moment
? At bedtime, maintain a fairly regular sleep schedule: routines work.
