With the 2022 Oscars ceremony yet to begin, this year a few categories have already been delivered before officially starting with the gala. Among the technical categories, prizes such as Editing, Soundtrack, Production Design and Sound have been unveiled, which have gone to ‘Dune’ by Denis Villeneuve.
Additionally, prizes have been awarded for makeup and hairdressingwhich has fallen on ‘The eyes of Tammy Faye’ and those of Best animated short filmwhich has fallen on the Spanish short film ‘The wiper’ by the Spanish filmmaker Alberto Mielgo, the Best fiction short for ‘The Long Goodbye’, promoted by Riz Ahmed, and ‘The Queen of basketball’ wins the Oscar for best short documentary.
The prizes were handed out an hour before a mini gala presented by Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin which they will then summarize in pieces. Hans Zimmer wins his second Oscar with the soundtrack of ‘Dune’, which he has accepted on his behalf Jason Momoa, since Zimmer is on tour, which leaves Alberto Iglesias without a statuette. The best montage goes to Joe Walker and adds the fourth prize for ‘Dune’.
