Coachella, the annual music festival held in Indio, California, makes its triumphant return after two years of pandemic cancellations. And to spread the word (and perhaps even widen its audience), Coachella has teamed up with Epic Games to bring the colorful music festival to Fortnite.
From now until May 16, the players of Fortnite who tune into Icon Radio in their Joyride vehicles will hear music from over 30 artists playing Coachella 22. That’s basically a quarter of the confirmed musicians, artists and acts playing at Coachella this year.
But besides invading your ears through Icon Radio, Coachella is also invading the Store Fortnite with some limited time cosmetics. Starting tonight, players will have access to the Rocking at Coachella Pack, which includes two new outfits and a full set of accessories.
Wilder’s outfit is typical Californian with a white t-shirt and baseball cap, and also includes the shark-themed tail fin. The neon snapper and fin wrap are also part of the package, as is the cosmic equalizer toggle style, which gives the outfit an ethereal haze that moves to the beat of the music.
The Lyrical Outfit comes with the Swaguaro Back Bling, while the pack adds the Festival Crusher Pickaxe and the Cosmic Equalizer alternate style. Like the alternative style Wilder, both the cosmic EQ and the crushing spike react to music.
