Following Microsoft Deal, Activision Blizzard Promises Exciting Announcements About Future Games
We need to deliver content to our players more regularly and innovate both in our existing games and beyond. We have some exciting things to announce, and will share more next week.
As most of you know, BlizzCon Online was previously scheduled for early 2022, but the convention was suspended indefinitely due to demand, so we’ll have to wait until next week to see what Activision Blizzard has in store for us. But that’s not all, as in addition to exciting announcements about future games, Mike Ybarra has outlined some of the plans regarding structural changes within the company.
Executives will now have their compensation tied to improvements in the company culture, and Ybarra says the company has added new positions such as a cultural lead, an organizational lead for human resources and a diversity, equity and inclusion specialist focused on the monitoring of improvements. Ybarra also details additional processes for employees to raise concerns with management.
These actions are just the beginning of the work ahead for Blizzard. I am motivated and excited to work directly on building the best environment for our teams, allowing them to bring their visions to life.
