Barcelona is much more than Primavera Sound and Sónar. Although these festivals are the best known internationally, Cruïlla is a musical proposal that never disappoints. From July 6 to 9 we will be able to give everything with the great songs by Juan Luis Guerra, Rigoberta Bandini or Depedro in the Parc del Fòrum.
The Catalan capital vibrates throughout the year, but it does so in a special way in summer, when it receives thousands of visitors eager for sun and beach, cultural and gastronomic plans and endless corners to discover. If you are going to attend Cruïlla and you want to get the most out of Barcelona during the day, we propose several plans to achieve it.
El Grec al Sec: the gastronomic festival to regain strength
The Grec Festival of Barcelona is one of the most popular events during the summer season in the city. Beyond its infinite musical and theatrical proposal, it also celebrates the Grec al Sec, perfect gastronomic days to enjoy the flavors of the Poble-Sec restaurants in the open air. It takes place in the iconic Plaza Margarita Xirgu from June 29 to July 23.
Visit the exhibition dedicated to the world of tattooing
The CaixaForum in Barcelona dedicates part of its exhibition to the universe of tattoos. “Tattoo, art under the skin” groups more than 240 historical and contemporary works, with artists from countries such as Japan, France, Switzerland and Polynesia. A must if you are lovers of art in all its facets. The price of general admission is 6 euros, it is free for CaixaBank customers.
Take a photo at Casa Vicencs
Gaudí’s legacy in Barcelona is practically infinite. The Sagrada Familia or the Casa Batlló are two of his most significant works, but the Casa Vicens is truly precious. Furthermore, it is a corner of ten so that your Instagram photos are the most original. The price of free admission ranges between 16 and 18 euros.
Have a ‘soft ice-cream’ at the Rocambolesc
The Roca brothers are the founders of Rocambolesc, the ice cream parlor that bets on ‘soft ice-cream’. Soft, slightly creamy and full of nuances, to access this ice cream parlor located on La Rambla you always have to queue a bit, but it’s worth it. Recommendation: try the baked apple ice cream.
Visit La Pedrera and enjoy the best jazz: an unbeatable 2×1
From June 2 to July 29, 2022, this cycle of concerts takes place with a heart-stopping scenario: the scourge of Gaudí’s emblematic Pedrera. The Talent Jazz La Pedrera is a great opportunity to discover this Gaudí jewel while enjoying jazz and modern music.
