Elon Musk It is a subject that undeniably likes the entire current generation of users and consumers of information or products in the technology sector.
The subject has managed to remain relevant in the sector thanks to his permanent vocation to turn his statements, acts and even memes into a viral event for social networks.
Even so, it is possible to find more than one colleague who will affirm without much fear of being wrong that 2022 has not exactly been his best year. And it is that it has been turbulent for him from different flanks.
There is the case of Tesla Motors, which exceeded the mark of 3 million manufactured units, yes, but which has also been immersed in harsh complications that have led them to implement serious cuts in personnel.
Or the serious scandal that Musk is now experiencing with Twitter after starting an aggressive process to buy the platform and then trying to abruptly abandon it. But those would not be his only failures.
Five Elon Musk fiascos
The Boring Company Tunnels
The idea was simple. Musk founded the tunneling and infrastructure construction company, The Boring Company, in 2016 in hopes of solving California’s transportation problems by using underground transportation routes as a backbone.
Elon Musk said his tunnels would fix traffic congestion, but even his shitty Las Vegas tunnel is already getting backed up. Who could’ve predicted this?! 🙃 pic.twitter.com/iNiyPnGDeJ

Interconnected tunnel projects were proposed and almost came to fruition in Chicago, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, but all were abandoned.
So far there are only two Boring Company tunnels: a test tunnel in Los Angeles and a Las Vegas Circular Transit System (LVCC). None are functional.
hyper loop
A derivation of the previous failure. Hyperloop was a high-speed transportation system that would allow passengers to travel at over 900 kilometers per hour in small capsules. In theory, the system would make a trip from Washington DC to New York in less than 30 minutes.
Obviously it never happened.
X.com
In 1999 Musk and his friends created an online banking platform that provided international checking, savings and insurance accounts. It all started with an investment of a few million where Musk was listed as CEO in a short period of time.
After a promising start the company merged with Confinity and Elon was expelled. It was then that the company changed its name to PayPal.
The rescue of the boys from the cave
This case had a series of coverage by the FayerWayer team, broadly speaking, as we saw at the time.
In 2018, Musk was inspired to help rescue 12 children and two adults trapped in a cave in northern Thailand using a mini submarine.
10 of their engineers built the prototype out of “rocket parts” to help evacuate those trapped, but it all proved impractical and their help was thrown away, causing it to burst into webs and insult those who did rescue the children.
the cybertruck
That moment in 2019 will go down in history when Elon proudly presented his Cybertruck with bulletproof glass by smashing the glass of his truck with a brick.
Since then nothing has improved, the truck is already three years late and if everything goes well we will see it go on the market until 2023.
