In just a few days, the Japanese luxury brand will unveil the new Lexus RX 2023. The brand has presented a preview of the fifth generation of this model. One of the illustrious SUVs of the manufacturer that has been on the market for more than seven years, and that will once again be one of the benchmarks in its category.
Grim Reaper in words, the Japanese luxury brand has announced the world premiere of the new Lexus RX 2023. The firm is ready for one of the most anticipated debuts, as it marks the premiere of the fifth generation of one of the most important models on offer. An SUV that accumulates nothing less than four generations since it was first released in the late 1990s.
A flagship that has been completely renewed, and that will debut a new, more modern style. For now, Lexus has only advanced an image of part of the front of the fifth RX in history showing a new grille design, more vertical and with a new internal decoration. A much more angular design that has left aside the characteristic concave lines and tight folds, opting for a smoother lines.
The fifth generation of the Lexus RX 2023 promises to be a revolution
In fact, one of the most distinctive features of Lexus, the arrow shape of the grille is gone, as are the wedge-shaped headlights. Now, they are much more horizontal, although the LED light signature does present the typical design that makes Lexus recognizable. Even if you look at the image on these lines -specifically in the fourth model starting from the left- you will see that this fifth generation is a completely new model, with a new insert in the rear pillar, a usual detail of this model but with a larger size.
The new Lexus RX will be unveiled next June 1 in a special event designed by the manufacturer for everyone, and in which we will also know all the details, including images of the interior that the brand guards with absolute zeal. So much so that not a single prototype has been seen in testing in the US, Europe or Japanwhere the vast majority of development has taken place.
The new Lexus badge has moved to Toyota’s new TGNA platform. Specifically, to the variant GA-K typical of those of larger modelsan interesting structure that will allow the Japanese Premium to attack its competitors with an offer based on the hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology. The new Lexus RX is expected to debut a PHEV propulsion version with a battery that should reach 100 kilometers of autonomy.
