A few weeks ago one of the most beloved shows on television, Better Call Saulcame to an end after two episodes that caught the attention of fans of breaking Bad. However, its leading actor,Bob Odenkirkyou are ready to move on to your next project called straight manof which you already have a first look.
In a recent interview, Odenkirk talked about the show and how it compares to Better Call Saul in both similarities and differences.
Here his comment:
I just think the tone is great. It feels like a new mix of comedy and drama that we’ve been on the verge of for a long time. It’s like you took a really fun show, like Parks and Rec, and said, ‘Let’s slow down and get to know these people and make their internal battles a little more on topic.’ So it’s really a great combination of comedy and the kind of drama that we’ve had to do on Better Call Saul.
This is the synopsis of straightman:
It is an American comedy and drama television series for AMC, based on the novel series of the same name by Richard Russo with Bob Odenkirk as William Henry Devereaux, Jr. Full of complexity, humor and depth, the series follows the first-person perspective of William Henry Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely chairman of the English department at a severely underfunded Pennsylvania university. From there, Devereux’s midlife crisis skyrockets as he must shoulder all the hassles and headaches that come with such a highly charged and seriously neglected new position. The series is a midlife crisis story set at Railton College in the Pennsylvania Rust Belt.
For now it does not have a release date, it is only said that it will be released in 2023.
