At the beginning of the month we received the interesting announcement of the alliance between Tencent and Logitech. Two powerful companies joining forces for a more than ambitious purpose: create a portable console with which to play through the cloud. It will be on September 2 when we see the official presentation, but the first images have already come to light.
Thanks to Evan Blass We have access to the first look at the system, which is called the Logitech G Gaming Handheld. As can be seen, the aesthetic follows in the footsteps of what was seen on Nintendo Switch, although in its guts we will find key differences.
The interface is similar to the Nintendo platform, but we will find various applications, whether it be the Google Play Store, YouTube, Xbox, Nvidia and even Steam. And it is that the operating system will be Androidalong with access to Nvidia GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Therefore, it is expected that users will be able to play both mobile titles natively and it is intended to guarantee access to “being able to play AAA games when away from the console or PC”. The control scheme shows directional arrows, joysticks, and Y, B, A, and X buttons. In addition, there is a Home button and buttons on the back.
The processor it incorporates is expected to be the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1, although we will still have to wait for confirmation. Finally, the release date is still unknown.
