The Concacaf League of Nations 2022-2023 already has its schedules and days defined for the matches of the so-called Final Four in search of a champion in the contest and the semifinals will be on fire, with the stellar clash between the Mexican team vs. United States, which -without a doubt- will steal all the attention of the fans.
For this Nations League Final Four, only the first four places in each group advanced, with Mexico, Panama, Canada and the United States qualifying. Thus, the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will be the setting for the last four games of this edition of the League of Nations and that, in addition to the aforementioned ‘Clásico’ of Concacaf, it will also host the duel between Canada and Panama for the other ticket to the Grand Final.
Mexico claimed first place in Group A of this league, which is why it already secured its presence in the Final Four to go in search of the title that it was denied in 2021 and that is held by the United States.
Team USA will fight to revalidate its already distinguished title, since by narrowly beating El Salvador at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida, it was left with the top of squad D after achieving three wins and one draw, which allowed it to add ten units.
Why will the United States be Mexico’s rival in the Final Four?
To define the Semifinal matches, the best team in League A will play against the worst of the four classified, while the second against the third. That is why Mexico is going to have to face the United States, since they went to the Final Four with less points.
Let’s remember that the Mexican National Team ranked last among the four qualifiers, since it only added eight points, while the United States remained as ‘leader’. For this reason, the ‘Tri’ will have to face the stars and stripes, a team that despite finishing tied with 10 units with Panama, finished with the best goal difference.
