Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, remastering of the original PSP gamewas announced yesterday during the special broadcast on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. It is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII starring Zack Fair, a member of the SOLDIER paramilitary group to which Cloud also belongs. During the course of the adventure, Zack will discover the secret of Project G and how he relates to SOLDIER and his highest officials, such as Sephirot. It is not ruled out that Tetsuya Nomura and company, responsible for the game, have thought of adding some other changes to the original story to adjust to the new plot of Final Fantasy VII Remake and its sequel.
The truth is that to be a 2007 PSP game, the original Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has aged relatively well to the present day. This new remastered version, obviously, has higher resolution textures, better modeling, better performance and other effects adjustments to make it look like it was made from scratch with modern techniques. It doesn’t reach the level of Final Fantasy VII Remake, but it will certainly be well received by fans of the series.
