We do not know if the Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary celebration event was part of Non-E3, but of course it has left us with great moments. Square Enix has launched the hype Totally through the roof thanks to several flashy announcements such as Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion.
Undoubtedly, all eyes were directed towards Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which will be the second part of the remake project of the 1997 work. Seeing the magnitude that the first installment acquired in Midgar, it was clear that we would see several games in the future and Yoshinori Kitase has confirmed that there will be three in total.
The name has not been revealed nor, of course, a launch window for what will be the closure of the saga. Even though there is a long way to go to see it, the third title is already underwayas pointed out by Tetsuya Nomura in a message.

I can’t wait to share the intention behind naming the first title Remake and the second title Rebirth. Over time, I hope to reveal what the third title will be called, and where this journey will take us.
The development of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has progressed rapidly since we adopted a new development structure. A title of this scale where everything is interconnected even before production begins is truly rare. In fact, part of the development has already started on the third title. I have started development myself and am working on completing the series.
We will work to deliver this title to the fans with the same enthusiasm from now until we reach the finish line. In the meantime, enjoy the other 25th anniversary projects that expand the world of Final Fantasy VII.
