Final Fantasy 7 was considered one of the best video games of all time for many years, and Square Enix decided to revive the installment for a new audience a couple of years ago, with Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to PS4 in 2020. Today, the company announced an anniversary stream for Thursday, June 16.
Final Fantasy 7 came to the first PlayStation in 1997, so it is about to be 25 years since its release, and to celebrate it Square Enix announced its Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration. This broadcast will take place on Thursday, June 26 at 3:00 pm PT (5:00 pm CDMX).

Square Enix’s new special broadcast will be approximately 10 minutes long and will be “short and sweet,” with a lot of information yet to be revealed. Everything indicates that we will finally see Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, so if you are a fan of the series you should not miss the event.
Last week, a Sony State of Play was held in which we saw some of the news that its external partners, such as Square Enix, are working on. Although it was believed that we were going to see Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 at that event, what Square Enix presented was a new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI.
Final Fantasy 7 turned 25 in early 2022 and since then Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 would be shown this year. At that time it was said that the plan was to make announcements for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of FF7 throughout the year.
