It has been leaked! The recently presented Hyundai IONIQ 6 already has a sports version in the making and has been seen in all its splendor just a few hours after its debut. The new electric sports saloon has jumped onto the net, although it is not the expected IONIQ 6 N Concept itself, but the RM22. A brutal design exercise with unprecedented technology under the bodywork.
A few hours ago we told you all the details of the new Hyundai IONIQ 6, the second model of the new range of electric cars from the Koreans with which they plan to storm the European market in 2023, and with high sales forecasts. But almost more anticipated is the sportier version of the range, that of the Hyundai IONIQ 6N Conceptwhose presentation has been officially confirmed for July 15.
A debut that will take place at the firm’s headquarters in South Korea, and where it is more than ready for the event. So much so that they have not been able to last just a few hours to show it in all its splendor and a much more dizzying option has been leaked that Hyundai will present. And it is that this is not the concept prototype of the IONIQ 6 N itself, but of a competition variant with the aesthetic genes of this new electric sedan. Actually it is about the Hyundai RM22 Concept.
Genes of the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Concept in an FCEV prototype
The RM22 has been dressed in the characteristic body paint baptized as “Performance Blue”, and distilling aggressiveness to a truly superb level. Aerodynamics is essential, and for Hyundai N specialists, they have developed a kit that reinforces this quality. You only have to look at the large grill that presides over the front with a honeycomb mesh painted in black and the letter “N” in a very generous size standing out in the foreground. And if you look more closely at one of the sides of the grill you can sense a emblem with the legend “RM22”.
Beyond this detail, the prominent spoiler highlighted by the lower edge in red extends to the ends with fins that rise a few centimeters, at the same time as the side skirts protrude just enough to flush with the bulging wheel arches that presents the concept. Even at the height of the rear doors there is a vertical gill for ventilation of the rear brakes. A display of true sportiness that is also possible in an electric with VEGF technology.
Hyundai keeps a secret, for now, because in just a few hours it will give all the details, but despite the fact that it shows the sportiness of an IONIQ 6 N, it also hides one more secret: its motor technology based on a high-performance electric fueled by hydrogen. Hyundai N sources have already confirmed that they will pull all the sticks on the different forms of propulsion, and not only electric, the fuel cell is also among its planspredicting a future of sportsmanship more than exciting.
