Fans who have been waiting for 11 years for the sequel to the film Avatar, by Canadian director James Cameron, will no doubt be happy to learn that filming will finally be able to resume, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
He claims that the country’s deconfinement measures now allow film and television film crews to return to work while respecting the new public health directives.
After having already been postponed, the release of the film Avatar 2 is now scheduled for December 2021.
The first opus, released in theaters in 2009, was a huge success. The science fiction film had grossed US $ 2.79 billion.
The Avatar saga was designed to stretch over four other films, which were originally scheduled to be released two years apart.
