EA Sports has announced its intention to test how it feels the cross play function to FIFA 22, so that anyone can play with their friends regardless of the platform from which each one connects. At the moment it has not been specified when it will be available, the company limiting itself to highlighting that it will be soon in the form of a test.
Only versions of PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia they will be the only ones in which cross-play will be compatible, while the game modes in which it will be activated will be online seasons and matches with friends, leaving out the rest of the game modes.
However, that does not mean that it will be like this forever, because EA has highlighted that this is just a test that it wants to carry out. In fact, the team is convinced that the information obtained will serve to establish cross-play in more titles, but in this case it will be somewhat limited to reduce the possibility of problems arising.
Once activated the option in question will appear at the bottom right of the screen, so anyone can make use of this function or remove it whenever they want. Certainly a perfect time for it now that FIFA 22 has just been added to the PlayStation Plus games of May.
