Be careful here, all the followers of Grand Theft Autothis line of games that is clearly one of the biggest entertainment franchises out there and part of its success is due to how it satirizes the United States, that’s why between its poking fun at politics, celebrities, social media and the consumerism has given us great moments and jewels that reflect society.
Plus, it has countless spoofs of real-world brands, one of which is a fast-food joint called cluckin bell which seems to imitate KFC, Popeyes or Chick-fil-A, and although it is generally parodied in a negative light by highlighting unhealthy food and poor service, this hasn’t stopped fans from wanting to eat at Cluckin Bell or the another fast food restaurant in the franchise, Burger Shot.
It’s like saying you wouldn’t want to eat at the Krusty Krab, for whatever reason, we’re all naturally drawn to the desire to eat foods that don’t exist, or have only been invented for those franchises as part of the variety.
That is why it has become a trend that this weekend a Cluckin Bell appeared in real life in San Diego during Comic-Con 2022, this idea by a group of fans, where its creator, BoyWorldWidedescribed it as a “immersive experience” and one “artistic performance” 4 days coming to an end.
You see, the restaurant was located at 14035 Midland Road, Poway, CA 92064 and was incredibly similar to the one in the game. Grand Theft AutoFeaturing employees in chicken hats, yellow uniforms, and accurate if relatively lewd branding, this version of the real-life Cluckin Bell even sold Sprunk, a parody of Sprite in the uniform from Grand Theft Auto.
On the outside of the establishment, they put a poster of Grand Theft Auto V The protagonist trevor phillips it was posted on the wall as a reminder to employees not to serve it, as it has a reputation for causing chaos in and around fast food.
This fun improvisation took place from July 21 to 24 and offered fans a real taste of GTA, and was so famous that some media contacted RockstarGames to see if this was affiliated with the game developer, but it looks like it was a standalone thing, and will certainly remain in the memories of fans who were able to attend.
