Pokémon Legends Arceus opens this January 28, and two fans decided to create a trailer in the best style of Studio Ghibli, the resemblance is incredible!
Less and less is missing for the official launch of Pokemon Legends Arceusthe next great game of the pokemon saga. So much is the fanaticism and the expectation generated by this new title, that even some fans had to show their enthusiasm in a creative way.
On Channy and Kimberly’s YouTube channel, two self-proclaimed fans of Nintendo, we can find a trailer for the game. However, this is not an ordinary trailer as Nintendo used to us, but it presents Similarities to Studio Ghibli movies. Among the references that we could find we appreciate Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke.
This is a video of 56 seconds where can we see a trailer Pokémon Legends Arceus anime. One of the clearest differences with Studio Ghibli is the presence of snorlax and of Hisui’s Growlithe instead of totoro.
At the beginning of the video we can see the protagonist riding on wyrdeermaking use of the new game mechanics: the pokémounts. These mounts allow us to get on different pokémon such as Wyrdeer, Hisui’s Braviary, and Basculegion to admire the region of Hisui.
Musically, the video is accompanied by a piano sound that serenely reminds us of the original Pokémon theme by Kromosohn. All these features make comparison with Studio Ghibli easier.
This Pokemon Legends Arceus trailer isn’t the first for fans regarding Nintendo. Previously, Channy and Kimberly dedicated themselves to creating videos for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart, Splatoonamong others.
