The players of Call of Duty: Warzone have not been very satisfied with Boiler since its launch. Some Call of Duty: Warzone players have speculated that the themed map of the volcanic island could see a drastic change at the end of the current season, which could hopefully bring some positive changes.
a fan of Call of Duty: Warzone discovered that a “caldera” can be defined as a large depression that forms when a volcano it erupts and collapses. This could allude to the idea that the map Boiler could experience a volcanic eruption which could drastically change the layout and locations of the map.
Call of Duty: Warzone wouldn’t be the first battle royale game to change its map after a season-ending volcanic eruption. Back in 2019, Fortnite had a volcanic eruption event that ended up changing two of the main locations on the map. Many players seem to think that Caldera could benefit from a similar event, as this would give Raven Software the opportunity to change the map as they see fit.
Call of Duty: Warzone players have been complaining about Boiler. The main issue Call of Duty: Warzone players have with Caldera is the noticeable lack of points of interest on the map compared to the previous map, Verdansk. Caldera only has 15 named locations, while Verdansk had 22. A volcanic eruption could allow Raven Software to create new unique locations where players can loot.
While there may not be a volcanic eruption in Caldera, it will likely be a positive change for the map if Raven Software decides to go ahead with this idea.
