Now what Thor: Love and Thunder is showing in theaters around the world, fans ask what will follow for their characters, since as they asked the director Taika Waititi As for his plans for Thor 5, the film has brought back some great characters from the franchise, as well as opens the door to potential projects for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So just as we were able to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy, Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) and even Valkyrie from Tessa Thompsonwho got huge notoriety within the movie, especially since she’s now the King of New Asgard, so fans have wondered just how most MCU characters eventually get their own projects.
They wonder if Tessa Thompson is getting her own Valkyrie spin-off, all this, during a new interview: “I don’t know. I love playing the character, so any chance I get to play her in any way, I’m happy to do it.”
So the actress seems open to trying, but so far she is unaware of the plans that Marvel Studios have for her and her character within the MCU, which is now a fact, that it is the film with the shortest running time, since Thor: Love and Thunder had to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time, that is, in just under 2 hours.
Additionally, Thompson recently revealed that his characters’ sexuality was a major theme in the upcoming sequel, while speaking with Yahoo Entertainment, he detailed how that could affect the story: “It becomes the only story, particularly in a movie like this, where, frankly, you don’t have much room for story”.
“So there was a lot of conversation in terms of how to deal with that with Valkyrie. And I feel really good, personally, about where we got to. I hope she’s a character that fans continue to connect with, that we get a lot of time to explore her, in all of his humanity. But whether or not he finds love in this film doesn’t mean he’s not still a fabulous queer character who’s open to finding love when it makes sense.”
