Today the first look at the new user interface that Microsoft has prepared for the dashboard of its Xbox consoles and that will officially arrive in 2023 has come to light. fans have been disappointed with the new Xbox interface and the response has been mostly negative in social networks. The reasons? Mainly it refers to a very intrusive design that covers practically all of the dynamic backgrounds and that makes the result less attractive and an excess of references to GamePass and other advertising spaces that hardly leave room for their own games and other system tools.
Phil [Spencer]we are tired of paying for a service and having ads shoved down our throats, remove ads from dashboard for subscribed users and for the love of God let us see the dynamic wallpapers instead of covering them with boxes, the community has told you this many times”, reads one of the highest rated comments on Twitter. “A real pity that the brilliant dynamic backgrounds are hidden for all the icons”, adds another user on the same line as the previous one. “What’s the point of a new dashboard when we can’t even see our own wallpaper? It’s funny that the Xbox community can make better dashboards than the Xbox team ”, concludes another.
Although there are also some comments from users who do not dislike the new design, the vast majority of reactions have been negative, especially emphasizing the two points mentioned above. Of course, and although it has already been officially shown, the design will not be available until 2023, so it would not be surprising if the Xbox team takes good note of the feedback of the community and make some adjustments. We’ll see what’s left.
