Last year, Nintendo announced the return of a classic series of turn-based strategy games, Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. This game will bring Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising together in one package, with a new art style, refined mechanics, and changes that hope to give fans and newcomers alike a new experience.
Many fans are excited about this new installment in the series, as there has been no game of Advance Wars since Advance Wars: Days of Ruin on the Nintendo DS in 2008.

Although it was originally announced that it would be released in 2021, the game was delayed until the following year, as the game needed to be perfected before its release. Although the release date was initially set for April 8, Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp would be late again.
While the reason for this delay has been explained in light of ongoing “world events”, the war between Ukraine and Russia is implied to have been the main reason. Considering that the content of Advance Wars is too close to current events, this delay makes a lot of sense. Despite this, a fan has managed to get the game up and running, albeit for a short time.
RE: #AdvanceWars, Nintendo have sent an email saying they’re canceling my purchase and refunding. was fun while it lasted! got a few missions of the first game’s campaign done

These images were uploaded by Twitter user killetheth, or Rachael, who had pre-uploaded Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp from the Nintendo eShop, and did so before the delay. Rachael had managed to get the game working on her Switch Lite, indicating that he had already completed some missions in the game. When asked to show a test run of the game, she showed some footage that he had captured.
This short clip of Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp It was from the tutorial level, which gave fans an idea of how the gameplay works compared to previous games, as well as the music. It also showed off what the art style of the game is like, with lovely 3D models and an anime-like look for characters like Nell and the soldiers.
The morning after uploading this clip, Rachael received an email from Nintendo canceling her purchase and refunding the price of the game. He revealed that he was able to beat some campaign missions from this reboot of Advance Wars before being forced to quit.
Some have pointed out that this was avoidable if she didn’t connect her Switch to the internet, but she posits that Nintendo would likely have become aware of users other than her who were able to take advantage of the exploit.
