Facebook launched a new virtual reality feature called Horizon Workrooms. The new tool Horizon Workrooms, is the work meeting version in a free multiplayer virtual reality game environment for everyone.
The software Horizon Workrooms, was designed to work with Facebook’s own Oculus Quest 2 headsets, to attend more business meetings in a virtual reality space. In the presentation we can see a Mark Zuckerberg no eyebrows waving his arms like a cartoon.

Instead of seeing the boxes with the bored faces of the people through Zoom, Horizon Workrooms can gather up to 16 people while using a VR headset to view their avatars and can also join 34 more people via video call.
Oculus Quest It can track both the face and the hands of the user, so you can see the somewhat awkward movements of the avatars. The app even includes a virtual keyboard below the screen for typing.
In April, Mark Zuckerberg tweeted when you’re “so excited about what you’re working on that you forget to eat.” The next day the CEO of Facebook, uploaded a video of himself customizing his own Oculus Quest avatar. Now, in the first screenshots we can see the avatar Zuckerberg waving his arms and hands.

We do not know if the future of teleworking will look like this, but it is clear that Facebook is trying to compete in the remote work sector and compete with companies such as Zoom and Cisco, among other.
Nevertheless,What do you think of having virtual reality glasses on your heads while watching your boss and co-workers as cartoons? For now it does not seem like a futuristic advance or a more practical option to work from home, but a fun image.
