Fabio Quartararo has once again given a recital dominating from start to finish the MotoGP German Grand Prix. The Frenchman has added his third victory of the season and is even more leader of the World Cup. Johann Zarco rode almost the entire race in a comfortable second position, while Jack Miller recovered from a penalty to climb to the third step of the podium. Aleix Espargaró has been left out of it after an intense fight with the Australian Ducati rider.
The race started with magnificent output of a Fabio Quartararo leading the way into the first corner. Pole man Pecco Bagnaia had to settle for riding behind the reigning world champion for the opening metres. It was after the first step across the finish line when the Ducati rider tried to overtake the race leader. Nevertheless, Bagnaia went wide at turn 1 and almost touched a Quartararo who quickly regained his head. It seemed then that these two pilots, who were already ahead of their pursuers by more than half a second, would play for victory.

However, the fight would end too soon. When only three laps had been completed, Pecco Bagnaia went to the ground in the first corner of the German layout and added a new abandonment. Joan Mir also fell at the same point a few moments later. From there, Fabio Quartararo would not find any opposition. Johann Zarco also consolidated his second position by moving away from Aleix Espargaró. Then the troubles began for the leader of Aprilia who he saw as his teammate threw himself on top of him and tried to snatch the podium position from him.
Jack Miller would end up joining that fight after completing the ‘long lap’ imposed after going to the ground with a yellow flag during free practice. Behind, Fabio DiGiannantonio, Jorge Martín, Brad Binder and Luca Marini were involved in an interesting fight for sixth place. Abandonments also followed one another, the most painful being Maverick Vinales. The Aprilia rider was in the midst of fighting for the podium when problems with the suspension of your motorcycle They have forced him to enter the pitlane.
All the attention was then for Aleix Espargaró and Jack Miller. The Australian repeatedly tried to overtake him at Turn 1, but he was unable to consolidate the overtake by going wide. However, with three laps to go it was the one from Granollers who made a mistake at the same point and lost the podium options. Luca Marini was finally fifth ahead of Jorge Martín, Brad Binder and Fabio DiGiannantonio. Thus ended a disastrous weekend for Honda. Only Stefan Bradl has completed the race, but he has been out of the points.
