HitBTC plans to list Terra’s new LUNA token on May 27, with the suspended Terra Classic blockchain expected to revive as Terra 2.0.
Cryptocurrency trading platforms show first signs of support for the revival of the collapsed Terra network by listing the new Terra token, also called LUNA.
the exchange HitBTC took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that Luna, Terra’s new chain token, will be available on its platform on May 27.

The news comes amid Terraform Labs’ preparations to relaunch its protocol on May 27 and replace the old chain called Terra Classic with the new chain simply called Terra, or Terra 2.0. the new chain it will not be a fork as it will be created from the genesis block which will not share history with Terra Classic, said Terraform Labs on May 23.
The new Terra token will be called Luna, replacing the old token called Luna Classic (LUNC).

As previously reported, Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwon proposed creating a new chain for Terra without the Terra algorithmic stablecoinTerraUSD (UST), in mid-May, suggesting LUNA airdrops among LUNC stakers and holders, UST holders, and Terra Classic app developers.

The proposal immediately received support from the community, with 91% of Terra validators voting for the “rebirth” of Terra as of May 18. As of this writing, the community survey is still ongoing, with approximately 67% of voters supporting the revival of Terra as Terra 2.0.
Terra’s revival comes after Terraform Labs halted the Terra blockchain on May 12following a massive drop in both LUNA and UST, with the Luna token falling as much as 99%.
