As we all know, Apple has always been dedicated to finding a way in many aspects that the competition cannot match, in fields such as privacy, to cite an example, the Cupertino apple has always been ahead of its rivals, but now it seems that in this same field is taking a step backwards because all Android manufacturers are accepting and perfecting RCS, an application that is designed to replace the now outdated SMS, but the best-selling firm among young Americans does not pronounce on this matter.
Without the RCS there will not be so much security
Basically the RCS, as we have explained above, it will be an application similar to SMS, but with greater message encryption and therefore superior security in order to avoid possible leaks of personal information, but this will only take place when a message is sent from Android to Android. You can continue to have conversations from Android to iOS, but having different encryptions this last connection will be less secure than between two terminals with the Google operating system.
According to our friends at MacRumors, this can be a problem since, as we have mentioned above, it will make conversations from Apple users to consumers of any smartphone with a different OS are less safe overall. At the moment Apple has not commented on the matter nor is it expected to do so since they have not said anything related to the subject.
This could carry out a step back in such sophisticated privacy that all the devices on the block give us, since as we have seen on previous occasions, it is easier to steal a car today than an iPhone. Hopefully we’ll have updates on RCS on iOS soon.
