The second half of the season begins, and the prequel series of Game of Thrones jumps back in time again: the largest so far. In the recently released sixth episode, ten years have passed since the marriage of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (the so-called “Green Wedding”) and consequently older actors have entered the board as a replacement. Among such, is Emma D’Arcy, who takes the character of Rhaenyra from Milly Alcock for the coming chapters of the house of the dragon.
In a recent interview with The Independent (via Insider), D’Arcy spoke about the difficult task of putting himself in the shoes of a character that only a week before was loved and recognized in the face of the Australian Milly Alcock. Her predecessor played a young Rhaenyra in the first five episodes of the house of the dragonwhile D’Arcy personifies the princess at an age closer to thirty, and is also the mother of three children.
“It’s complicated, isn’t it?” he commented. “It is a difficult point at which to meet an audience. they only have me [en la pantalla] when they lose Milly, so they find me in a place of pain, of losing someone they just spent five hours with. I’m very aware of that.”

On the other hand, Emma D’Arcy had the understanding and support of her co-star matt smith, who knows very well what it is to replace an actor who connected so well with the public. After all, Smith became the eleventh Doctor Who in the eponymous British series in 2010, succeeding David Tennant and many other interpreters who personified the Lord of Time in previous decades.
“I had a nice talk with Matt the other day, and he said it’s like the Doctor Who curse. You have to regenerate. And yes, unfortunately, Rhaenyra is going to completely change her body and face in a couple of hours. [previas al estreno del sexto episodio]D’Arcy added.
Other key characters who mutated in the sixth episode of the house of the dragon They were Queen Alicent Hightower, Prince Consort Laenor Velaryon, and Princess Laena Velaryon. The and the interpreter who entered as their adult versions are respectively Olivia Cooke, John Macmillan and Nanna Blondell.

Antonio G. Spindola I have very bad memory. Out of solidarity with my memories, I choose to lose myself too. Preferably in a movie theater.
