Elon Musk prepares for his possible matchup with Mark Zuckerberg in a mixed martial arts fight, and recently participated in a training session with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre.
as you remember independentthe two tech moguls agreed to the showdown after a spat on Twitter, where Musk accused Zuckerberg of scamming Twitter with a new platform called Threads.
On Monday, Musk joined podcaster Lex Fridman for his first workout with St-Pierre and renowned grappling coach John Danaher. St-Pierre, who retired in 2019 after winning titles in two weight divisions, is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time.
Fridman shared his excitement on Twitter, calling the training session “epic”. Musk, for his part, acknowledged the need for more training, citing his lack of experience in this area.
I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill from him, on the feet and on the ground. It was epic. It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served… pic.twitter.com/cq00A9Xnmw

Musk doesn’t exercise much
Before the fight proposal, Musk admitted that he rarely exercises, while Zuckerberg has been practicing jiu-jitsu since 2022.. Zuckerberg even participated in a martial arts tournament earlier this year, where he won medals in his weight class.
Although Zuck is at a height and weight disadvantage, Musk is 13 years older than his rival. UFC trainer Javier Mendez has expressed that he sees Zuckerberg as the favorite to win due to his physical condition and active experience in training.
However, the date and location of the fight have yet to be confirmed, and the details of this unique matchup remain the subject of speculation. Supporters of both tech entrepreneurs are eager to see how this potential battle in the world of mixed martial arts will play out.
