The entire world has experienced moments of extreme tension after the attacks that occurred between Israel and the city of Loop. Many local and international figures have expressed their opinion on the tense conflict that has spanned decades and now Elon Musk had talked.
This guy remains one of the richest people in the world and that could already be reason enough to question his vision of the matter that accumulates every time more injured and dead. But there was an additional event that has earned him a storm of criticism.
Elon Musk is the owner of
But little by little it was twisted to become a platform plagued by misinformation, manipulation, hate speech and fake news.
After the acquisition by Elon things got worse instead of better, since in its desire to maximize profits and cut expenses it ended up eliminating almost all content moderation and control protocols.
It is under this context that the magnate had the idea of speaking about the armed conflict, earning him a reaction that was not exactly positive.
Elon Musk asks X users to “stick to the truth” and is harshly criticized
Through his official account on X, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk has spoken publicly and openly about the attacks that have occurred in recent hours between Israel and Gaza City, after the attacks initiated by the Hamas organization.
The delicate point, and perhaps even tactless, is that in his message Musk asks the users of the social network that he virtually dismantled to turn it into a repository of fake or manipulated news, to stick to the truth:
As always, please try to stay as close to the truth as possible, even for stuff you don’t like.
This platform aspires to maximize signal/noise of the human collective.

“As always, try to stay as close to the truth as possible, even in the case of things you don’t like.
“This platform aspires to maximize the signal/noise of the human collective.”
This was what Elon stated, without even making it clear whether his position supports the Hamas organization or the territory of Israel that received the initial attack. So he received harsh criticism from that.
“This site is a sewer of misinformation,” wrote the former Obama administration official and podcaster. Tommy Vietor in response to Musk’s post. “He has made everything exponentially worse and this morning (Elon) recommended an account known for spreading lies and anti-Semitism. Great job”.
It is just a sample of the reactions that his comment has provoked. In a situation where publications with relative data distortion abound.
So we recommend using news sites with all the history and support of their career as a source of information rather than publications on said social network as a reference base.
